Shopify

The getAddress() Autocomplete app checks every order's Australian delivery address against G-NAF on every Shopify plan, and on Shopify Plus adds address autocomplete and business names to checkout. It is free; look-ups come from your getAddress() plan.

The app is in review for the Shopify App Store.

What it does

Set up

  1. Install the app, open it and press Connect getAddress(). Sign in, or sign up free, and allow your shop: the app is given an API key of its own on your default subscription. (Or paste an API key instead.)
  2. Leave Check new orders on. Tick Hold fulfilment of flagged orders if you want it; Shopify asks you to let the app manage fulfilment orders.
  3. Plus: in Settings → Checkout → Customize, open the editor's settings and choose getAddress() Autocomplete under Address autocompletion. To add business names, add the getAddress() business name block under the delivery address.

Disconnecting

Disconnect in the app, or under Connected shops in your console, stops the shop's key at once. Uninstalling the app deletes everything it holds for the shop.

Costs

Suggestions and business names are free. Each address a shopper picks is one look-up, and so is each order whose address is found.

Privacy

The app keeps each checked order's delivery address line, order number and result for 90 days, and your API key encrypted, in Microsoft Azure's Australia East region. No name, email or phone number is sent to getAddress(). See the privacy policy.
