WooCommerce

The getAddress() Address Autocomplete plugin adds Australian address autocomplete from G-NAF to WooCommerce, on the block checkout and the classic [woocommerce_checkout] checkout. It is free; look-ups come from your getAddress() plan.

The plugin is in review for the wordpress.org plugin directory. Until it is listed, email support@getaddress.io for the zip.

What it does

Set up

  1. Install and activate the plugin. WooCommerce 9.9 or later.
  2. Open WooCommerce → Settings → getAddress() and press Connect getAddress(). Sign in, or sign up free, and allow your shop. The plugin is given a domain token for your shop's domain and an API key of its own on your default subscription, and address autocomplete is switched on.
  3. Tick the options you want: business names, My Account, PO Boxes, states delivered to, order address check.

Prefer not to connect? Paste a domain token for your shop's domain and, for the order address check, your API key, then switch on Address autocomplete under WooCommerce → Settings → General.

Disconnecting

Disconnect on the plugin's settings page, or under Connected shops in your console, stops the shop's key and domain token at once.

Costs

Suggestions and business names are free. Each address a shopper picks is one look-up, and so is each order whose address is found. A PO Box is recognised without a look-up, and an address that isn't found costs nothing.

Privacy

What a shopper types is sent from their browser to the API to answer it and is not kept. The order check sends only the delivery address (street, suburb, state, postcode), never a name, email or phone number. See the privacy policy.
